ANYWAYS. Another WIP! A sort of “pond mandala” as it were. A Red Eared Slider with two of my fav koi (Goshiki (red and black spotted) and Bekko! (he will be golden with black spots) A tropical water lily sits adorning the shell

 I had this idea floating in my head for a good long while. I love spicy things. I love Sriracha rooster sauce. I love “Napalming the jungle” (thank you “The Oatmeal” for that phrase) aka drowning my food in its fiery glow. 

This was a something I was considering making a tee of. Would there be anyone interested?

An then there were concept sketches! My dragon is always evolving and changing into something that can finally become solidified  I had one rule in doing these- NO ERASING. period. I wanted to see what I could jam out with the “bare pen” (if even digital) fun little exercise :)

Very rarely I post WIP’s (works in progress) it seems for whatever reason when I share I get less reaction then if I just unveil a fully finished piece. Ah well, this one I just couldn’t keep secret. I know the concept has been done before- but this is my own take on such. It’s just in its sketch phase while I am trying to work out the look (hence the no upper canines and two different eyes XP)

Snow Lion Sketch. I got another email from a chapter of Students for a Free Tibet about using an older piece I did of a Snow Lion for their website. Tibet is a cause near and dear to my heart. Naturally afterwards on reflecting I wanted to make another one.

So last night in NY we had this hell of a wind and rain storm with 60MPH wind and sheets of rain that sounded like torrents of sleet. When you live in rural long island and your backyard is all woods your gonna head a lot of stuff. every snap and creek of a branch makes you think people are outside in the inky wooded blackness. Not pleasant. Needless to say this nerve wracking hell lasted about 2 hours. lets not repeat it.

(yes my room is covered in sailormoon wallscrolls and I have plush of them on the bed) SWAG.
